WWI Bairnsfather Bowl with German Soldier Caught in Barbed Wire – Item 98868

Interesting WWI Old Bill china bowl. Shows German cartoon soldier trapped in barbed wire and marked “Gott Strafe This Barbed Wire”. Reverse marked “Made by the Girls of Staffordshire during the winter of 1917/18 while the boys were fighting at the front”. Measures 13cm in diameter. Good condition.
