Scarce enamelled Third Reich train badge. Dated 1934 and produced for wear on railways workers uniforms. For workers working on these high speed trains. Complete with pin back fixing and maker marked to reverse.

Note: In 1934, the Deutsche Reichsbahn began developing specialized, high-speed diesel multiple-unit (DMU) trains. Contracts were finalized for the revolutionary SVT 137 (Bauart Leipzig) series. These streamlined trains featured third-class compartments, a kitchen, and reached top speeds of 160 km/h, linking major commercial hubs.
