Third Reich RAD Presentation Punch Bowl – Item 89856

Large white metal plated punch bowl presented for a Sports competition in 1936. Engraved to lid in gothic script ”Reichsarbeitsdienst Gau-Sportfest Halle 1936″. Would have been presented to winner of sports competition by the town Gauleiter. The RAD had many sporting events and was part of their training before entering the military forces. It was compulsory to join the labour corps after service in the Hitler Youth.  Measures approx. 35cm x 28cm. Some age plating lifting and has glass inner for wine cooling. No ladle remaining.
