Brian Davis was one of the first serious collectors of Third Reich insignia in the 1950s and travelled extensively to many of the original factories who manufactured badges and insignia during the Third Reich period. It was during these visits that he managed to purchase large quantities that were produced but never sent out. Brian Davis authored many of the early reference books on collecting Third Reich uniforms and insignia. These reference books are still used today by many collectors and dealers alike.
