Third Reich Double Decal German Army Helmet – Item 107976

Interesting M40 German Army double decal steel helmet. The shame of this is the helmet has been over painted for re issue in field grey.  The tri colour is still visible to the side as is the army decal – however this has been over painted when used post war. One helmet rivet missing but otherwise shell is in nice condition and original size marked 57 lining. No chin strap remaining. May be a project for helmet restorer to strip the paint?  Double decal helmets command high prices now so have priced this to reflect work required.
