Nuremberg War Trials Signature of Oslo Police Commander – Item 113592

Interesting allied custody slip confirming the signature in his own hand and identity of  SS Gruppenfuehrer August Meyszner. Who was commander of the Police in Oslo Norway. He was hanged by the Yugoslavian Government in Belgrade for War Crimes. These interesting sheets that were written by the prisoners to confirm their IDs etc before going on trial for various war crimes.

Note: Born in Austria 1886 and entered into the SS in 1935. In 1938 he was commander of Police Military District IX. 1940 Commander of Police in Oslo. 1944 he was deputy and Plenipotentiary of the SS in Montenegro. He was hanged in 1947 for War Crime.
