British Great War KIA Medal Grouping – Lancashire Fusiliers – Item 94054

British Great War 1918 casualty pair and memorial plaque awarded to 39122 Pte L Woodhouse, Lancashire Fusiliers. Medals and death penny are still housed in their original forwarding boxes and registered envelopes. Medals are in excellent condition with original ribbons and the death penny has all its original bronzed finish. Lawrence Woodhouse was born in 1887, a native of Leeds West Yorkshire and joined the Lancashire Fusiliers on 31.8.1916. He was reported missing in March 1918 and later being confirmed as being killed in action on 21.3.1918 whilst serving with C Company, 2-8 Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. He is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial.
