British 1914 Star – Item 113758

British WWI 1914 Star awarded to Pte Fred Ellis, 2nd Yorkshire Regiment. 28 August 1914 Attached to 21st Brigade of the 7th Division. 6.10.1914 landed at Zeebrugge and 20.12.1915 transferred with the Brigade to the 30th Division. Note the 2nd Battalion lost 70% of its strength by the 31.10.1914. Medal worthy of further research. Complete with original ribbon. Nice condition.
