Early tin pin back badge of the Mahone;’s brigade. Good overall condition for age.

Note:  Mahone’s Brigade, led by Confederate General William Mahone, served in the army of Northern Virginia an saw action in numerous Civil War battles.  The brigade participated in major engagements such as the Seven Days Battles, Second Manassas, and the Overland Campaign, and was noted for its performance at the Siege of Petersburg. Initially composed of Virginia regiments, the brigade was often part of General A.P. Hill’s or James Longstreet’s corps.
