Third Reich Army Balloon Observers Badge – Item 114346

Scarce and seldom found Third Reich Army Balloon Observers badge. Instituted in July 1944. Nice condition with much original gilt wash finish remaining. Gold grade. This example in good condition but has had pin removed and only has bottom connection hook.

Note: Given to Officers and men when placing themselves in the situation of  directing enemy artillery fire and generally observing from a balloon. This making them easy targets from the ground.
