Third Reich Drink Tray from the Deutscher Hof Hotel – Item 114187

 Square Silver plate drinks tray measuring 28cm x 26cm approx. Deutscher Hof to centre of tray. Reverse marked with maker stamp Gebr Hepp. Liberated by British serviceman at the end of WWII.

Note: Nuremberg architect Franz Ruff; the neo baroque facade decoration and the open arcades on the ground floor were removed, and a large balcony was added. From this “Führer’s Balcony,” Hitler subsequently reviewed the parades of the Hitler Youth and other Nazi organizations marching past the Deutscher Hof during the Reich Party Rallies .
