Third Reich SS Silver Hilted Officers Sword – Item 120406

Third Reich SS Officers Dove head sword. Nickel silver mounts with heavily chiselled oak leaf back guard. SS style nickel silver eagle to cross guard. Underneath marked with original owners initials GW and Unit marked 9/12 (possibly SS unit). Reverse with chiselled SS runes on blackened shield. Wire bound black bakelite handle with silver strand wire to grip. Small split to bakelite covering but does not distract from this highly decorated sword. Plain un-maker marked blade in good overall condition. Complete with correct pattern scabbard and single hanging ring. Retains 98% of its original black paint finish. A nice example of this scarce pattern sword.
