Third Reich Herman Meyer lst Pattern Officers Cap – Item 117051

Excellent example of a lst Pattern Herman Meyer Officers tropical cap. Red cloth lining with size mark 60 and makers stamping plus date 1942. Typical of this Schellenberg caps with extra ring around central band. Complete with its period sewn breast eagle – a common feature on this make of cap and single cockade. Similar cap shown on Pg 218 of “Afrika Korps” 41-42 by David Bunch and Daniel Fisher. Completed with its buttons to back for attachment of neck flap. Buttons with remains of tropical paint finish. A nice example of this rare cap.
