Third Reich German Naval U Boat NCOs/Officers side cap. Bevo Naval cockade and eagle and with gold piping. U boat tradition badge to side of horseshoe. Grey silk lining. Size marked 59 and dated 1941. Maker marked Carl ?- remainder not readable due to service wear. Good over condition. A nice “been there” cap.

Note:  The “Golden Horseshoe” is a famous Third Reich U-boat tradition emblem associated primarily with U-99, commanded by Otto Kretschmer.
