Third Reich Army Field Police Officers Cap – Item 104815

Third Reich German Army Feldgendarmerie (orange piped) military police cap. Tall saddle shaped front. Green wool top in very good condition with just two small pin head moth nips. Lower dark green band with orange piping. Complete with metal insignia retaining much of its original silvered wash. Complete with original cap cords. Inside with original ersatz style sweatband and Munich manufacturers sweat diamond to crown. Original owners name tag inserted.  A lovely example of this scarce and seldom encountered Army Officers peaked cap.

Note:  The Feldgendarmerie were a type of military police units of the armies of the Kingdom of Saxony, the German Empire and Nazi Germany until the conclusion of World War II in Europe
