Berlin Air Lift Commemorative Bronze Plaque – Item 96343

Interesting bronze plaque produced in 1948 and awarded for service to US and British troops who took part in the Berlin Airlift. Supplying the German people who were cut off due to the Russian occupation. Measures 9cm in diameter. Heavy bronze construction. Shows supplies being loaded on US aircraft one side and other side shows cartoon version of Stalin with planes flying above his head. Excellent condition.
