Imperial Regimental Stein from the German Battleship Victoria Louise – Item 120898

Rare Imperial German Naval Regimental Stein commemorating the German Battleship SMS Victoria Louise. This example being personalised to a serving Naval rating. His name on the front of the stein.  Stein body decorate with sailors and naval scenes throughout. Pewter top with Imperial eagle and sailor toasting with stein. A lovely example of this rare stein. Measures 34cm tall.

Note:  She was named after Princess Victoria Louise, the daughter of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The ship was armed with a battery of two 21 cm guns and eight 15 cm guns.  She represented Germany during the funeral of Queen Victoria in 1901.
