Third Reich SS Winter Day Rally Badge – Item 119915

Unusual white metal SS Schwarzen Corps badge with wording “SS Main Sector Northeast – Winter Day of the Black Corps”. Measures 8cm x 5cm. Backing plate and large pin fixing. Possibly worn by members of the German newspaper when distributing on the Winter Day Rally 4 February 1944. Paper sold to raise funds for the SS. Two piece construction. Not had one of these badges before.

Note: The paper was  was published every Wednesday and distributed free of charge to encourage all SS members to read it. Circulation started at around 70,000 copies in 1935 and grew significantly over time.
