Third Reich Spanish Civil War Flak Prize Cup – Item 119821

Silver plated Legion Condor presentation cup awarded to a Luftwaffe Flak Unit F.88. Awarded for shooting down enemy aircraft. One side with Luftwaffe eagle and swastika in flight and front engraved “Legion Condor 5 F88”.  Brass presentation plaque to base. Roughly translated from German “In the battle against Bolshevism” 1936-38.  Measures 28cm in height  and cup measures 12cm in diameter. A most impressive item.

Note:   F.88 was the 5th Battery of Flak Unit F/88.  An anti-aircraft artillery unit of the German Legion Condor during the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939)
