WWII Russian Combat Helmet – Item 113173

Interesting WWII Russian Army combat helmet which has been captured by the German Army and sent back to be re-issued to German Volksturm and Air Defence units. It has been over painted with Luftwaffe dark blue finish and winged Luftschutz decal placed to front. A recent loft find in untouched and un-cleaned condition. Complete with original canvas chin strap and ersatz lining. When Germany overran many countries the captures equipment was sent back to Germany for re-issue to Volksturm units. An interesting helmet with combat history.
