Third Reich Herman Goring Plate from his Personal Hunting Dinner Service – Item 86593

Scarce dinner plate from the personal service of Herman Goring. Produced by the German porcelain factory KPM. Originally given to Goring as a 50th Birthday present. Plate features early hunting scene to centre with Goring family crest to top of plate. Colours remaining bright and plate in near mint condition. Plate measures approximately 25cm in diameter.

Note:   To prevent Carinhall from falling into the hands of the advancing Red Army, the compound was blown up on 28 April 1945 at Göring’s orders by a Luftwaffe demolition squad. The art treasures and contents  were evacuated beforehand to Berchtesgaden.
