Interesting Third Reich Field Police NCOs Peaked Cap. Police green wool cap with orange piping and lower brown band. Complete with its metal police eagle cap badge which retains all it original silvered frosting. State cockade above. Cap in overall very good condition with only one minor pin hole to top, otherwise nice. Ersatz sweatband to inside with just a couple of minor age tears (common with this style sweatband due to age). Complete with diamond to crown and size marked 57 1/2. Original NCOs chin strap with silvered police pebbled buttons to sides. Comes complete with its original portrait photo of the original owner clearly wearing this cap. This cap has the eagle mounted slightly higher than normal with the top wreath just slightly higher than the central band. This can clearly be seen in the period photograph of this Police NCO wearing this actual cap. A chance to own a nice rare police cap with photo of original owner.
