Italian/German Campaign Medal for Victory in Africa 1941. Early bronze example. Complete with original ribbon. Retains much of its original bronzed finish to medal. Good condition.

Note: PNF stands for Partito Nazionale Fascista (National Fascist Party), the political party founded and led by Benito Mussolini that ruled the Kingdom of Italy as a one-party dictatorship from 1922 to 1943

Mussolini Murder Original Photos – Item 115607

4 period photographs documenting the murder by Italian partisans of Mussolini and his girlfriend Clara Petacci . Thee four original snap shots taken in 1945 and still in the brown paper bag that the veteran brought them back home in. Shows them both strung up in the square in Milan. Also close photos of him laid out in his coffin after they were taken down. A unique set of photos of this gruesome event.

Note: The bodies were taken to Milan and hung upside down in the Piazzale Loreto, a location where fifteen anti-fascist partisans had been executed a year earlier. A mob gathered and vented their rage on the bodies, which were later taken down. The execution was carried out without a trial, and Italian partisans also killed other fascist sympathizers who were with them. The circumstances surrounding the deaths, particularly Petacci’s, have been a subject of continuing controversy.

Scarce Italian Fez of the 92nd Legion Firenze Florence (Legione Ferrucci). Captains gold bars to side of cap and black tassels. Complete with its original leather sweatband and Italian makers label. A scarce and hard to find high ranking fez.

Fascists Italian bronze sports medallion awarded 1928-29. Heavy bronze construction and in good condition.

Note: An Italian Fascists Medallion associated with The Italian School of Scotland refers to medals, including gold and silver ones, awarded by Fascists Italy to encourage educational and sports achievements within schools like the one in Scotland. These medals were a tool of propaganda to promote Italianità, or Italian identity and loyalty to the Fascist regime. After Mussolini’s proclamation of the Empire in 1936, these prizes, alongside textbooks with Fascist imagery and speeches, began to be distributed

Interesting veteran bring back postcard mounted with various Italian WWII military badges. Consisting of gilt brass cap badge, Fascists lapel pins with fixing to reverse, winged fascists emblems and Lt. Star and Engineers arm badge. Compiled by British veteran and brought back from North Africa as war souvenir and probably collected from POWs. Good condition.

Interesting Italian fascists Mussolini 20 lire Commemorative gold coin. One side shows helmeted Mussolini and reverse with lion and fascists emblem. Retains much original gilt finish.

Italian Special Forces (10th) Flotilla Arm Badge – Item 111195

Rare WW2 Italian Fascist RSI Decima Flottiglia MAS (10th Assault Vehicle Flotilla) Uniform Arm Badge, Stamped metal badge on cloth backing. Skull with rose in its mouth above X and with FLOTTIGLIA MAS to the bottom. Uniform removed example in good overall condition with just minor paint loss to badge.

Note: This unit was an Italian Commando Frogman unit part of the Regina Marina (Italian Navy). This unit was active from 1940-1945 and were responsible for manning the Italian Chariots (Human Torpedoes). After Mussolini was removed from power many members of the unit joined the RSI and fought alongside the German forces in Northern Italy and were involved in Anti-Partisan operations.
