Highly decorated WWII Japanese soldiers thousand stitch victory belt. Believed by the Japanese soldiers to add protection in the final victory. Often sewn by family members with prayers and lucky emblems to ward off death in combat. This particular example is decorated with tiger and two lucky coins and Japanese prayer to edge. Silk remains in good overall condition for age. A popular souvenir brought back by British troops serving in Burma.
