Victorian Royal Naval Dockyard Battalion Officers Sword – Item 96039

Rare Victorian Naval Officers Sword of the Royal Dockyard Battalion. Manufactured by Wilkinson of Pall Mall, London. Circa 1847. Gilt brass handle with perfect snakeskin grip and original wire. Good clean blade with only minor finger staining. Blade measures 31 inches and is engraved Royal Dockyard Battalion and on reverse with Victorian monogram and foliage engraving. Complete in leather and gilt brass scabbard with embossed maker to top chape “Wilkinson Gun & Sword Maker, Pall Mall, London”.
