Victorian Kings Bodyguard of Scotland Bonnet – Item 98177
Excellent condition Scottish Bonnet of the Kings Bodyguard of Scotland. Green bonnet in good overall condition with only a couple of minor moth nips to one edge. Comes complete with gilt brass and enamel cap plate. Badge retains all its original gilt finish. Has full ostrich feather parade plume. Inside with red silk lining and red leather sweatband. The cap was worn by James Andrew, 1st Marquess of Dalhovsie (1812-1860). It was also worn by Sir John Hope of Craighall & Pinkie (the 11th Baronet). A rare Kings bodyguard bonnet.
