Third Reich Report from Albert Speer on the State of the War Effort 1945 – Item 92017

Rare four sheet double sided report dated 8.2.1945 from the Reich Minister of Armaments and War Production Albert Speer. Stamped with the highest security classification. The Report divided in two parts with sub divisions and reports on supplies of metals, energy supplies, transport situation, fuel, textiles etc. The report paints a sober picture of the German supply and utility infrastructure in the last three months of the war. The amount of damage to supplies by allied air raids is soberly presented by Speer. The final page bears the signature of Reich Minister Speer. A rare historical archive period document.

Note:  Speer at the end of the War during the Nuremberg trials was sentenced to twenty years. After his release he made a second career as an author on the inner workings of the Third Reich. He died in London in 1981.
