Third Reich Pilot Observers Badge with Diamonds – Jewellers Copy – Item 111579

Scarce early post war made jewellers copy of the unique combined Pilot Observers badge in gold with diamonds. The highest non-combatant Luftwaffe award that could be awarded. Was instituted by Goring during the summer of 1935 and of course Goring being one of the first recipients. It is believed that an estimated 40 awards were given by Goring up to July 44. A most impressive award in gilt with silver eagle encrusted with stones. A good collection filler piece of this unique award.
