Third Reich Luftwaffe Pilots Flak Helmet – Item 88544

Rare and hard to find Luftwaffe Pilots Flak Helmet. This scarce helmet modified from standard pattern German helmet which has had the sides beaten out to allow fitting over flying helmet. Front with Luftwaffe squadron decal of hammer and anvil. Side with remains of paper label “German helmet from bomber that crashed near ……… September 194?”. Unfortunately label now hard to read due to age. Complete with original leather lining and pilots name painted to back rim of helmet. One of the hardest and rarest of the German WWII helmets to find.
