Third Reich Luftwaffe Officers Parade Helmet – Item 97637

Rare and seldom found Luftwaffe Officers Parade Helmet. Lightweight aluminium with 98% of its original blue/grey finish. Complete with early droop tail eagle decal to one side and 98% of its tri colour decal to other side. Complete with original leather lining and correct pattern brown leather chin strap. These early double decal lightweight helmets often produced by the cap manufacturer Erel were made exclusively for officers so when on parade they did not have the weight of the normal combat helmet. Due to their fragile construction many were destroyed at the end of the war. This particular example has a couple of minor dents from poor storage but otherwise is an excellent example. There are many period photos of this style helmet being worn by officers at parades and rallies etc.
