Third Reich Emmy Goring Defence Paperwork – Item 113987
Historically important and direct via auction from the Goring family archive Emmy Goring defence document. Consisting of letters being a sword declaration from one Rolf Mansen in Munich dated 18.5.1947. A one time colleague of Emmy Goring at the National Theatre in Weimar. The signed statement to Dr Ebermayer (Emmy Goring’s lawyer) at the hearing before the “Spruchkammer” (Denazification Tribunal) of Emmy Goring. It outlines the help and assistance given to Jews by Emmy Goring to him and other jews during her tenure as a State actress in Weimar. In particular to one Frau Jotzoff and mother whose letter of 26.5.42 to him is enclosed as proof. He also forwards her address in Bulgaria where she may be contacted. The statement is signed in pencil by Mansen.
In 1948 Emmy Goring was convicted and classified as a Major Offender and banned from the stage for 5 Years.
