Scarce French nail fighting knife. Interesting example of this much copied fighting knife. Dug up from the Somme and with remains of paper label. Stating nail knife found on the Somme 1973.Ai?? Although buried it is in overall nice sound condition.Ai?? These crude fighting knives were produced in the trenches usually by blacksmiths and issued to French raiding parties. It is a knife that has been copied over the years due to its simple construction. However this is a chance to own a genuine example of this rare knife recovered from the battlefield of the Somme.
