Consisting of his British Airborne Forces steel helmet complete with harness chin strap. Retains all its original olive drab paint finish and manufacturers stamp to liner. Also a presentation pewter tankard decorated with Pegasus and marked “Presented by the Sergeants Mess, HQ 16th Para BDE. Also a wooden wall shield plaque to the 3rd Parachute Regiment and a captured Chetnics souvenir flag with skull and cross bones. This helmet is in as found condition complete with its leather liner with some wear and damage to tongues of leather. Its chin strap. Originals owners name painted in rim of helmet and stamped to rim ET66. 85% of it original Luftwaffe blue/grey finish and 40% of its Luftwaffe single decal remaining. Retaining 80% of its Police decal and 90% of its Party decal. 80% of its dark green paint finish remaining. Rim stamped Q64. and QA 371? Complete with its steel inner band but leather liner has been cut out. Probably the leather was used at the end of the war when there was shortages from 1945 onwards. Comes complete with chin strap.
